歐洲央行(ECB)29日警告，歐元區長期經濟低迷不振，已使該區域銀行危機捲土重來的風險逐漸升高。

在ECB宣示不計代價維持歐元區完整後，儘管金融市場已趨於穩定，但經濟始終深陷衰退泥沼。ECB經過評估後指出，長期的經濟衰退，加重了債務人還款的難度，壞帳率恐因此攀升，而銀行業最終也將隨之沉淪。

儘管ECB並未指名道姓點出那些銀行暴露的風險最高，但是它表示，失業率高且房市崩盤國家的銀行最易遭受衝擊，意即義大利、西班牙、希臘、葡萄牙等國銀行。

歐元區經濟已連續第六季衰退，且平均失業率高達12%。經濟合作暨發展組織(OECD)當日建議ECB，除了降息外，應比照美日採取更積極作為，以協助歐洲走出經濟衰退。
