推翻固有理論　人類基本情感僅4種

研究情緒和面部表情的先驅、美國心理學家艾克曼（Paul Ekman）認為，人類有6種基本情感：憤怒、厭惡、恐懼、快樂、悲傷、驚訝。不過，蘇格蘭格拉斯哥大學的最新研究挑戰艾克曼的理論，認為人類其實只有4種基本情感，就是快樂、悲傷、恐懼或驚訝、憤怒或厭惡。

英國廣播公司報導，格拉斯哥大學的科學家，用他們開發的新電腦軟體，分析面部表情的「時間動態」和面部肌肉接收到的情感訊號，發現只有快樂和悲傷的面部表情訊號是截然不同，恐懼或驚訝共用一個訊號：張大眼睛，而憤怒或厭惡亦共用一個訊號：皺鼻。（國際中心／綜合外電報導）
