【戴之聖╱基隆報導】基隆黃色小鴨跨年前夕意外自爆，主辦單位經過兩天搶修，昨終於將小鴨裂痕縫補完成，也讓小鴨好好洗了個澡，為避免小鴨因溫差大再度自爆，特別在頭頂和屁股加裝兩台排風機，小鴨昨充氣測試狀況良好，今將回基隆港重新展覽。針對小鴨自爆意外，國外知名媒體也以趣聞、怪聞方式報導，不僅幽了黃色小鴨一默，也意外讓基隆因此登上國際媒體。
 
爆頭糗變國際笑話
英國廣播公司（ＢＢＣ）以大篇幅報導黃色小鴨在基隆自爆後，美國有線電視網（CNN）、英國《每日電訊報》和美國《赫芬頓郵報》，也分別以「趣聞」和「怪聞」（weird news）的方式，報導黃色小鴨在台灣第二度爆炸的消息，讓基隆意外登上國際舞台，發起人黃景泰對此表示，黃色小鴨就是帶給大家快樂，任何事件都要以正面角度去看待。
